"Colorado is in my blood. My great grandparents lived in Tin Cup and my father was raised in Denver. I'm an 'Air Force Brat' who naturally, returned."
After college Judy worked as a service representative with Mountain Bell Telephone Company. Denver was exciting in the early 70's but, she "wanted more open space with easier access to the mountains and the desert." A move to Durango in 1974, found home. A transfer with the Bell system gave her a position as a telephone operator on one of the last existing "cord boards" in the country. She's really "not THAT old, though!" Next, she worked as a technician in the central office switch room. Upon the divestiture of Mountain Bell, she elected to stay in Durango and Toh-Atin Gallery hired her to help develop their wholesale print department.
With every opportunity, Judy pursues her love of outdoor activities. Hiking, camping, skiing, 4-wheeling, gardening, bird watching and "some hammock time" keep her "batteries charged."
In 1994 she purchased a "second home" in Montezuma County and made that her permanent home in 2003.
"I love the mountains, but I've got to HAVE the desert."
"This is truly a unique part of the world...a virtual outdoor playground where we can still live 'the good life'. Having lived in La Plata and Montezuma counties for 32 years, I am profoundly aware of the many changes and I have confidence in the Southwest Colorado market. I believe in real estate as an investment and I look forward to working with you."
